Dramatis Personae

The curtains rise,

the light pours in,

the stage is set,

so let's begin.

The show is grand,

My part is small.

There's not that much to know at all.

I sing my solo,

play the fool,

eat my breakfast,

go to school,

I sing and dance throughout the day,

I say what I'm supposed to say.

I make faces,

tap my feet,

try to keep up with the beat.

I miss a step,

slip here and there.

No one sees it, no one cares.

Now school is over.

With my friends.

Still the drama never ends.

Heartbreak, mirth, depression, rage,

These things fit better on the stage.
