Drapetomania

Hello there, I'm still here

My face is covered up in fear

I want to run

I want to scream

I want to escape this dream

I call out to You

Hoping to find Truth

I want to run

I want to scream

But I'm content in this dream

Drapetomania, my plea

It makes me want to up and flee

But this thing that I believe

Makes me stay, I am free

What I believe

It's all free

You gotta see

It's reality:

Open doors

Healed-up sores

Pain no more

It's all free

Drapetomania, my plea

It makes me want to up and flee

But this thing that I believe

Makes me stay, I am free

I want to run

Don't you see?

I have to stay

Where He wants me

Whenever He

Says to me

"Go ahead"

Then I'll flee

Until then

Here I'll be

I'll be content

And I'm free
