Draw Me Closer
You drew me closer as time went on, though the time we spent hasn't seemed that long. Still, you brought out the best of my worst and now caressed by this curse, I regret how my thirst caused me to let you go first. I was blinded by lust, engulfed in a fire. I gave you my trust while you gained my desire and as we got higher and higher, my faith transpired. Although we made a nest in the dirt, I didn't expect it to hurt but you neglected my worth and left me to rest in the earth.
