Dreadful Night
Devastated, tortured, saddened,
My soul was dissipating with the tears of my sorrowful heart,
The sun had disappeared within the dreadful night,
And darkness was the only thing my eyes could see,
But it was not the darkness that betrayed me nor the silence that terrified me,
But the continuous lamenting of her mourning soul,
Drowning in my sorrows, suddenly I heard a whisper;
A whisper that froze my skin and silenced my mind,
But it was nothing more than the cold wind,
Nothing more than my heart falling apart,
My mind was playing tricks on me; it was laughing at me;
Laughing at my obsessed frightened heart.
Dreadful noises echoed through the immense dark hall,
Noises that reminded me of the horrific dark past,
Of the very broken memories that kept my heart in pain;
Of the memories that destroyed and confused my brain,
A shadow passed by but nothing could disturb my heart’s unbroken silence,
Not even the devil spectrums of the past nor the night and its violence.
And the ghostly night filled my soul with intensely pain and darkness,
In my heart there was nothing more than loneliness and sadness,
No thin ray of light could penetrate my chest and reach my haunted heart,
For it was not the darkness but the memories that terrified my heart,
My trapped soul only remembered the days of yore and her beautifulness,
A sacred and celestial angel whom eyes were pure happiness and loveliness.
Again, the shadow passed by but my emotions gave no response,
Deep into the darkness I heard her charming voice,
For a moment, fear and sadness leaved my body,
And my soul recovered strength with the word of a beautiful lady,
But it was nothing more than the ferocity of the wind,
Nothing more than the echoing crying of my heart; still blind.
And the shadow only standing there, still there, watching, laughing,
My fears incremented very intensely as I witnessed the shadow smiling,
Mocking at my poor broken heart that merely dreamed of the past,
Still dreaming, I heard her crying and the shadow still laughing in the malevolent night,
I implored the malicious night to end and the shadow to vanish away,
Shall my loneliness remain unbroken and the shadow shall never return!
