Dreadful Secret

I look up and see their faces--

They're bland, undecided feelings.

I know they have a secret--

Eating them alive.

I can see the pain, sarrow--

They hold my hand.

I listen, the secret is revealed--

Wishing it stayed a secret.

I can feel the darkness hover--

Keeping it within.

I pray to be dreaming--

Although it stays the same.

She's gone, she's gone.

There is nothing to be done.
