The Dream
Since I was little, I felt as though I was a care giver
I would help my babysitter with the children because of her polio
I would change diapers, feed babies, play with the children
I didn't realize this until sophomore year of high school
It's when I really realized what I wanted to be
It was my dream job
My mom has told me that my aura attracts children just to stare at me
They giggle, laugh, smirk, grin, or even smile when I make eye contact with them
It made me realize that it was something I wanted to do
To be a pediatric nurse
I would go to college to purse this dream
I would get all my studies done in order to get my bachelor degree
I will then specialize in pediatrics
Some things that might stand in my way is the long school days of schooling
Money might stand in my way because of the price of schooling and the amount of time
Some family time will be lost but in the end I'll be able to do what I want to do
I know my family will be supporting be through it all
Even if some time will be lost
They'll be able to be proud of me because I've done what I pursed to be
My dream job
