Dream
What happens when a dream comes true?
Maybe you strive for more because you can’t be pleased
Then you give up because “a dream is just a dream”
It isn’t meant to come true
and it will never put its lifelong impression on you
Everyone says you give up too easily, but they don’t know what it’s like
They all have reached their dreams
On top of the world
Living like kings and queens
Who are they to try to correct you? They don’t understand
You’re just tired of feeling like a failure
So you give up, just give in
And say that it’s fine
That sweet little dream of yours finds a spot in the back of your mind
Maybe dreams come true always fall upon you
like snow falling out of the sky.
Soft and beautiful
yet rarely recognized
So ungrateful, you don’t even feel blessed
Until the snow stops and then comes your test
You have to fight for it? Really?
It’s the middle of a freezing December!
And as you fight you try to remember
that after the battle there will be a celebration
You’re about win the war
And the fireworks are about to pop
everyone is beginning to scream
then you wake up and realize
It was all just a
Dream
