Dream

Fri, 10/13/2017 - 13:38 -- Kacia

Darkest art the days I have live,

Painful are the thoughts I think

Pain runs throughout my bones

Sadness creeps upon my heart

For I crave the privilege

The privilege of freedom,

But I cannot break my fetters.

There lies constraints on me; placed by the devil

The devil of contempt and bigotry-

His horn deadly

His body brobdingnagian

His mind insightful

His army feeble; therein lies his defeat

Once vanquished my dream of freedom will prevail.

The freedom to walk upon God’s green earth,

With my enemies at my feet

And my shackles loosen

My dream not privilege,

But a reality.
