Dream Chasers

They met on a cool fall day Both on a journey of their own A country boy fell in love With an untamed soul Chasing and charming this wild girl The boy was relentless in his pursuit For he had found his wildflower Among his world of sand and dunes She was a hard one to catch That free spirit who stole his heart He just knew he had to persevere One day he would be there With one kiss under the stars He had finally captured her heart It was a leap of faith by both, And a wild love began to grow The summer sun lit fire To the dreams they both pursued Together they walked hand in hand And together they chased the wind Now they have a home in the hills One full of love and memories They rock side by side on the porch As they watch the sun set on their life

what inspired me to write this poem was my relationship with my husband. We have accomplished so much and have so many dreams and plans for our life together. When I wrote it, the peacefullness of having found my true love and knowing that our love is my safe haven and refuge just kind of spilled out in the words.

Really sweet and calming love story many people dream about. What inspired you to write this if you dont mind me asking?
