A dream come true

I am a princess by the name Jasmine

I have been a princess since I can remember

I still wait for my perfect Alladin

For when a suitor comes I get nervous and tremble

I have to marry to whom my father pleases

There is no choice because it is the law

My heart is broken in to little pieces

No suitor that I have met has left me in awe

I want run and get away

I know that all of this is not fair

For when I go it will be a happy day

But it will leave my father in despair

Every night I look at the sky

I wish upon a twinkling star

For a magic carpet that will take me high

But the whole world seems so far

There he comes wearing a smile

He says that he can show me the world

He asks for my hand to take me for miles

I say yes not asking for more

I feel as my dreams have finally come true

I see new places I never imagined

This world and experience is completely new

I always new that this was bound to happen

In the exitement I began to lose sleep

I woke up the next morning

Realizing that it was just a dream
