A Dream Of Helping Others

Everyone is different; we are not all the same,

While some like to teach, some like to fly planes,

As children we wonder what we shall do one day,

And during my childhood I always would say,

“I want to be a teacher, to help others learn!

I wish to study animals, and know how stomachs churn!

I will work at the zoo, all the different animals to see!”

But little did I know those dreams were not for me,

When I started thinking, what one job was best,

It must not compare with any of the rest,

And now that I know what I want to do,

I can say I will help others, and that includes you,

There are many different illnesses today that we cannot cure,

And I will be working to change that for sure,

Cancer, AIDS, and just the common cold,

Are just a few strains that I will come to hold,

As I study science in the biomedical field,

I hope to work for disease control, to help others from getting killed,

My dream job is to use my blessing of knowledge,

And to do this I first need to afford my classes at college.
