Dream Job
The confidence of a child
The foundation of a positive self-esteem
The smile of a student
When they accomplish what they set their mind to achieve
These are the things I live for.
The beauty of a choir’s song
The excitement of learning a new instrument
The satisfaction of a performance
That portrays for what it was meant
I live for these as well.
Music and kids
Kids and music
My two passions
My two loves
To teach kids music
Well, that would be like a gift from above
When I was a student
The other kids hated music class
They though it was a bore
They only looked forward to art and PE
But me? It was music I adored
But I was alone in my interest and awe
They didn’t give it a chance
A waste of time was what they saw
I want this to change
I need this to change
Music is very important you see
It is the foundation of many other things
Even math and history
Music stretches the brain
It speaks to the soul
It frees the mind
And it makes you whole
A beautiful song
can take the worst day
And make it a good one
With music there’s always a way
I want this to be known
To students everywhere
I want students to learn
I want students to care
I want to help kids more than anything else
To educate the future of our nation
What an opportunity
To be an inspiration
What a life-changing endeavor
What a blessing and joy
To share my love of music
I can’t think of anything more I would enjoy
Kids bring life
Kids bring bliss
I want to return the favor
By showing them this
By filling their days with music
By putting a song in their hearts
By inspiring them to stick with it
To help them to never fall apart
To give it a chance
To try it and see
That music can be just as much fun
As art and PE
I love kids
I love music
I want to spend my days surrounded by both
My dream job
My hopeful future
My passion
The greatest job ever!
This job
This end to my strife
This calling, this chance
Could quite possibly change my life
