The Dream That Last Forever

Am i asleep?
I forgot how to tell
Am I somewhere between Heaven and Hell?

I hear rustling of feet and the swaying of grass
A subtle hint of a babies cry or maybe a laugh
Its just ignorance and innocence

In my mind im painting a picture
but it just comes out blank
They say you control your own dreams?
Well i can’t

See i wanted to be a man who watched their kids grow
Play sports, watch movies, birthdays and much more
But now time as stopped
At least it seems that way

Now my dreams are my past…future..my present
