Dream Poem 2014

In a dream

I’m walking down a street

It’s bright

I turn the corner and

It’s dark

It’s unfamiliar and

I’m worried

Emotion hurls at me

So strong

Hate, jealousy, rage

I feel it attack me

I hear laughing

So familiar

I hear the laughter come nearer

So foreign

I see a boy

And he sees me

I pulse with light and

He does not

He pulses with dark and

I do not

I raise my left hand

He raises his right

He takes a step forward

I take one back

Because while I sing good, good, good

He screams bad, bad, bad
