Dream Un-Deferred

My dream is uncreated My dream will be a dream in which I am elated It will be undeniably amazing My dream will come true like a fire is blazing However my dream is something im saving For now is not the time for it to bloom Like a flower it needs to plant it's roots and grow And to do that I need a little room A little room to develop A little room to sit and think for 24 hours To think how I can beautifully bloom like the cherry blossom flowers And there in the room is complete darkness Except for a small candle and my shadow it created And it that room I feel so heartless Guided no longer by emotions because those were faded Almost wiped away by my experiences And so now I look at my life at this young age Examine the past that reflects my future Discovering my self, and finding a dream as old as sage I have a dream, the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Oh his dream was a great one, the people would sing Peace and harmony, and love for one another Loving our friends, our sisters and brothers, I, Me, I have a new dream that I sing to myself To value myself to a point of no sell No sell, No sell my soul for success Though success was a dream I dreamed for at best Not the materialistic things, those arent paramount But knowledge and recognition, at least a fair amount So now I wonder if It's a dream deserved At least I hope it's a dream preserved
