Dream within a Dream
A blank sheet where I lay my thoughts
I don’t know if they lie here dead
Passed away or forgotten
With shards of hope, to someday be read
Cares wants and worries
Will not be left unsaid
Nostalgic dreamlike stories
Left behind my heavy head
Upon the line I bring
A dream within a dream
I imagine one with love and light
Eyes that pierce and sting
His hand reaches to my cheek
Eyelids close to hide the heat
Voice smooth and clean like water
A Touch can heal the weak
I’m dead inside
But you and I
Could make it through together
