#Dreamer

Who am I?

As a person?

As a friend?

How about as a sister?

Those are all very different people.

When all my layers are peeled away,

I am a dreamer.

Not a do-er or a mover or a shaker,

Just a dreamer.

Dreaming up schemes and plans

Like no one would ever dream I would dream.

I dream of acting

Of writing

Of my name being renowned across the world.

I dream of teaching

Of travelling

Of marrying hunter driving a ‘67 Impala.

The camera puts on a mask

Adds a filter to my #selfie.

Gleams above my #basicwhitegirl

Whispers lies to my #bffs

But when there’s #nofilter, who am I?

I am and always will be:

The hoper of far-flung hopes

The dreamer of impossible dreams.
