Dreamer
They always say to “chase your dreams,”
But they never tell you which one to chase.
The human brain dreams up to seven times a night,
So how will I know which one of those dreams to follow?
Is the responsibility of choosing a dedication up to me?
I dreamt last night, of you.
We were happy.
You lifted me up off the ground and swung me.
You loved me.
We watched the stars together.
You held me close and looked deeply into my eyes.
And I said to you,
“I don’t want to wake up.”
But I did.
They always say to “chase your dreams,”
But they never tell you which one to chase.
The choice is mine.
And I choose you.
