Dreamer, Struggle Within

When you are labled for the place you were born,

A place from which you remain torn,

Living a life to satisfy,

But all you want is to testify.

Witness against the stigma,

Show that your people are more than the enigma.

How these words have become worn

To the ears of those who carry such scorn.

You keep on with your out cry,

Praying you can catch their eye,

To behold the error they will make,

If only for their people's misinformed sake.

They much know you are forlorn.

You know nothing of that home for which you mourn.

You breath an air of madness,

They will not hesitate to leave you in ashes.

You know full well,

They would watch as you fell,

Yet feeling spent,

You remain where your family went,

For the future of Happiness.

Sometimes feels like restricted passages,

You try to tell

All the truth to keep out of the cell.

They are blind to your history of ascent

But you WILL make a dent

To this cage of gold

For as beautifully thes bars hold

It remains a witness of what they stole
