To the dreamers

Good night to all my fellow dreamers,

May we meet again in dreams.

For night was not made for the sleepers

But for us dreamers it seems.

It is we that watch the stars dance above

And sing to the yellow moon.

How can one asleep claim night’s love

Knowing dawn is all too soon.

Why all those vast and empty heavens

Exist in ever night.

Yes it seems the dark truly beckons

With invisible delight.

Good night to all my fellow dreamers,

Night was made for us it seems.

Not for the worn and weary sleepers,

But to those of us who dream.
