Dreaming with God

Dedicated to a Girl name Scout who has stage 3 Leukemia, who is being taken care of at St. Jude… God Bless. Mommy, last night I dreamt I dreamt a dream of pure happiness Which is unusual Because I dream of Pain The pain I get when I feel the presence Of my silent killer Last night that dream I was with God The world was bright And white and yellow tulips were growing I was singing and humming tunes with Him God and I we were dancing And he pointed to a butterfly The butterfly was free and beautiful I started following it Thinking maybe I can be free too Then God took me by my hand God said “My child, You can’t be a butterfly, yet. You are just as beautiful, So don’t fly away yet. You still have chance, You still have life Burning deep in your soul Don’t put it out too soon.” When I woke up, Mommy You were there Your eyes puffy and red And I told you Mommy, “I still have a fire Burning deep inside of my soul And I cannot put it out to soon, I still have a heart And I still have a chance, Because God told me so.”
