Dreaming Hearts

Life is a never ending river

Following the flow of time

We are the fish lost in its current

looking for a sign

Of freedom from the cruel reality

that haunts us to this day

Many of us wish

that one day we could fly away

We all desire wings

and the sun

We wish to feel the breeze of the wind

and experience fun

We all long for this peaceful dream

We long for this joyful sensation

However, we are constantly hindered

by many trials and tribulations

However if we grow wings from our hearts

and continue to dream for that distant memory

then maybe on day

that dream will become our reality
