Dreamland

Each night when it’s time to lay in my bed

Visions of wonder flash through my head

I travel abroad with my body behind

Curious adventure I’m sure to find

Something amazing and incredibly new

Purple grass and trees of blue

New lands to explore, more stories to hear

Everything to see, nothing to fear

But deep in the mind, deep in the dark

Nightmares start the revolting spark

Kingdoms will fall

Nightmares rule all

And nobody wants to defend the small

Except us

This is our place, this is our right

We are the dreamers, this is our fight

We will not stand for evil abroad

We will reclaim the Land of Nod

Nothing to fear, smiles for we

Fighting the monsters, a benefit for me

This place is not real, but so is the heart

Both can be hurt, and taken apart

Why fix one but not the other

They are a pair, sister and brother

Nightmares fall back, away in the night

We are victorious in our perilous fight

Now I awake, and lay deep in thought

Of the treacherous fight that has been wrought

All of the heroes have faded away

As all dreams must at the dawn of the day

But all through my life I will never forget

The wondrous people I have met

Their deepest story held in my hand

The warrior defenders of  Dreamland
