Dreams

sometimes you have to accept that
all dreams can’t come true.
you can't always
be a lion tamer for the circus,
or an astronaut,
or a marine biologist,
or even a straight a student.
but don't give up.
don't ever ever give up.
because sometimes great things
take a great amount of time.
pain and tears and humiliation,
frustration and anger and ruin,
all combine and all run together
to make every moment worth it.
so be fearless and be brave.
one day, that dream may
come to life before you,
and you will live out your dream
as you always imagined you would.
