Dreams

I held a dream in my hands today, But I had to let it go. I felt it flutter, flit, and fly, And then I watched it flow. Flow it did as it left my hands And left me standing there, I saw it shimmer, glimmer, and die, And leave no trace in the air. There for a moment I thought it gone But then I realized, Even though I let it go, It hadn't really died. It was still there, Hiding for a while, But I knew it would come back to me After I travelled my many miles. Now what, you may ask, is the purpose for These words just about dreams? Simply this: there is always hope, No matter how it seems.
