Dreams
Throughout the day I swipe my filters to match the situation. Not because I want to, but because I have to. With filters, I'm the guy that knows everything at first glace, the guy that is tougher than the bears of Russia, and has a plan for the future carved with steel. That filter stays on, and just like all of us, I can't take it off without feeling naked. But what happens when I'm alone in the dark?
Most of us sleep at night. We are exhausted and our filters are failing, so we rest to recover them. However, those who stay up late learn about themselves. Without filters, we are all different. I don't know everything at first glace. In fact, I take extra time to study material before hand. I'm not at tough as people think. I want to be strong for the ones who can't be. And my future? It's not carved with steel. It's fragile just like everyone elses, and I'm just trying to make the best of things. This is why people connect most at night, because we learn our true selves.
Before you try to find yourselves unfiltered, be warned. Nightmares come at night, but they don't have to be in our sleep.
