Dreams

it is late

for some of us, it is 10, others, it is 4 A.M? P.M? what is the difference

sometimes, we dream of the dark,

why

beacause that is what we long for

because that deep dark seductions that sucks us

in and in

deeper and deeper

it is dark

short it

is

indeed

eyes close

pinch like a needle

and then, it is over

a burst of ecstasy of relief of comfort

all you hear is the alarm, beeping in your head

but all you think is

the dark

the warmth

i

i

i

i want it all, again

again

You climb down under the blankets one more time, but the alarm continues

doesnt stop

beep

beep

beep

but no

the dream is worth it

just one more minute

just to finish

the dream

of perfection

of darkness

of velvety smooth chocolate topped with creamy vanilla

but HOT!

and microwaved

and dry like carboard

your bed has lost its appeal

no longer glowing with youth

and freshness

it is old

and used

we wait

until the next night

like a drunkard, we stagger home

waiting

waiting

waiting

no. not waiting

falling

falling

falling

believing that we are falling onto a fresh bed

knowing that we fall onto it fresh and come out of it

wrinkled

every night

every day

A.M? P.M?

What is the difference

afterall,

we all still long for

the dark
