Dreams

DREAMS
Why do dreams feel so real?
To others they aren’t but to you they are
Hold on to your dreams
For they surely will die
I have my own dreams
And my own desires
As you dream about things that won't come true
But it pulls you in and keeps you there
My dreams are now like a broken window
The pieces are falling
The only thing keeping me together
Was the thought that one day my dream would come true
And now my dreams are shattered and hope has left me
Each was the dream you wished was true
This nightmare won't go away even when I awaken
I begin to think this nightmare will go on and on forever
Only to wish that I can dream peacefully at night
In my dream I stand alone
With only words to comfort me
You don’t leave dreams behind when morning comes
For they are the things that fill your every living moment
To only wake up and realize that your dream was not real is truly a dream
17 and still dreaming … more like broken dreams
Only will my hopes of marvelous dreams come to reality
As I will live them to this day and beyond
