Dreams

Whippor, whippor, whipporwill, Sing your song little whipporwill, Sing what is yours and no one else's Your beat, your will, voice is yours. Whippor, whippor, whipporwill, Sing your heart out my whipporwill; Paint with song your canvas pure For what you know but cannot see Speak to the rock and make it sing Whippor, whippor, alas! My sweet, sweet whipporwill, Your song is so close, so far, Starry eyes are blinded by cold night But stay, stay here in the light, Sing for hope that all may join In your song, your song of endless voice.
