Dreams
I once was able to imagine,
to dream about the world
and all the discoveries that were yet to be made by my innocent eyes.
I once was able to fly,
I soared through the sky,
without any hesitation or any fear,
conquering all my tears.
Now I look at the world,
with all its darkness and realities,
I look back on those innocent days;
where anything was possible even capturing the roars of a lion.
Thought now it seems all lost, the child is still within me somehow.
I wish I could still imagine without the chains of reality,
but I can only hope to follow my dreams.
There is a child in me that I seem to hide,
and I wonder who would take its side.
