dreams

You ever had a dream

that felt so real

Something out of a nightmare

something you wish to seal

Your heart beats rapid

shortness of breath

Palms are dampened

the feeling of both life and death

So you go to bed

body curled

you rest your head

leaving the reality of this world

everything is still

safe in a world that you created

something in you beings to fill

happiness? but some how that's all faded

Leaving the world you've claimed your own

living your life that's set and stone

Entering a dream you call reality

where society has left you all alone
