Dreams

Let them see what you face everyday

hoping you come home without a bullet in your dome

Let them see the struggle everyday

From eating cereal with water to

Seeing your mom crying because she cant pay the rent

Show them what the real struggle is

Coming from a hood

Where kids need to steal food

Instead of picking up a book

Cover their eyes so they can't see

Make them find the path

To make it out of the streets

So they can know what its like

To follow your dreams

When you're coming

 from the streets

The beautiful Struggle made me stronger

I forgive those who tried putting a chain on my feet

Trying to stop me from opening the doors to my dreams

I thank the people who doubted me everyday

Because thanks to them

I stand Brave and Fearless

Ready for what's coming  next
