Dreams
It's nights like this where I can't sleep.
Tears fall from my eyes
And meet my cheek,
And the my chin,
Down to my neck,
As I think of you
At least what's left.
Dreams don't come true
At least not to me.
Just crushed is all you will ever be.
I try to sleep and there I dream again.
Like "another day another dollar"
You are crushed again.
I hear this laughter and at the same time I hear this cry
Making fun of me dreaming
Because my dream has already died.
So as I dream of you again
Tears fall from my eyes.
Why do you tease me?
You are just a lie.
I try and try to believe you can come true,
But then I face it,
And tell myself that my dreams won't come true.
