Dreams Drop at Distance
Encased inside the walls of creation
The room his conscious is assigned to
When he looks at the windows
His experience is reflected in reaction
What he does, the room too
So at first he starts to rearrange it
It takes time and energy
So everything must be maintain
He then expands it
Start to shape in what he thinks is his image
Imagination granted from his father he hasn’t seen yet
He’s only aware that he wants to grow
So he begins learning what he needs
Becomes aware that as he stretches
So does his room
If he goes hungry
His room growls too
He realized that his walls that he thought
Were not walls or a room
But what he learned from the “ears”
Called a body
He realized all his movements were mimicked by this extension
What he didn’t realize
Was that his mind
Was still stuck inside his room
A room he created
That can change his perception
If he chooses or not
So he didn’t see he was falling
Into the depths of his own
A pool of trauma he neglected
That swallowed him whole
A hole he made peace with
And the piece he keeps close
To hold.
