Dream's Return

Everyone all around
Always asks what I want to be
The question seems so simple
But the answer's hard for me

I used to know the answer
What my life would be about
But past dreams slip away
And all I did was pout

Since then I have been searching
To find the passion, lost
In my heart I hid the truth
For I was worried about the cost

And then I was alone
Without any support
How could I pursue dreams
When I'm stuck holding the fort?

Time continued on
Trudging through eternity
I grew tired of not proceeding
Then courage took over me

I shouldn't have to worry
I should respect my long lost dream
And pursue it til I get it
Far through the darkness, there's a gleam

School will take twelve years
And I'll have massive debt
But that's not going to stop me
Not before my dream is met

I'm going to be a doctor
Helping people's what I want
When I'm making people better
There's no way I can be gaunt

There's many that will help me
But of course, there's also you
I hope this sappy poem
Will help my dream come true
