Dreams Of A Slave

I fall asleep Arraya, I wake up in shackles

My hands and feet are casped with your cold metal

And the only words I know how to say are, yes master

You, a man skin so pale it's almost pure

But your soul is so dark that it's evil

My back is a book of horrible memories, but I can't seem to understand them

Almost as if they aren't mine to read

My body, my mind, my soul all belongs to you

Your punching bag, your property

A swift pat on the back from your leather

Making my body shed red tears flowing from it's slits like a river

But at night when I was alone that's when I could think

When my imagination could run free

And that's when I realized what was missing...my freedom

You took it away from me

Almost as if...if I held it for too long it would shatter

A fragile figurine that you dangled on a rope just out of my reach

How can it be that something so close can just slip from your palms

And that's when I wake up and realize it was a dream

But was I ever truly dreaming to begin with

A society rooted in the word progression but we still see brothers and sisters droppin

And we can't get the one thing that is promised to us, justice

So when does it start, when are we no longer seen as lesser than

Cause I still don't see it
