" Dreamscapes" Part #3

No,
this isn't
the twilight zone
though a pschedelic
journey
nontheless.
It's an invitation
into the
surreal
a showing of-
an intricate
though eccentric
mind.
Is this an assault
on the senses?
A descent into
madness?
Or is it an ascension-
the pinnacle
of artistry
imaginative
genius?
This explosion of color
an exuberant
brightness
images juxtaposed
midst vivid
dreamscapes.
This is Dali's canvas
a rowing down mythological
rivers
a trek
intense and fiery
( hallucinogenic)
but always,
thoughtful
and mystically alluring.

This poem is about:
Our world

Annette M Velasquez

This is the last in my series of poems from a workshop about surrealist art and Salvador Dali. We looked at reproductions of his paintings, discussed dreams and fantasy- hence, my " different" poems. I included them now to show you all something, light, whimsical, and imaginative- a bit of fantasy for these difficult times. Also this is an example of a Ekphrastic poem. ( based on art or an image, or photograph, or sometimes music)
