Dreamwalking

I walked with you in a dreamlike state,

Our surroundings growing darker every minute,

You kept wishing for daylight, but I,

I found comfort in the night.

You took my hand and made me lead,

I let fate guide us deeper into the darkness,

the breeze beckoned to the trees,

and the same two stars awoke first from their slumber.

I couldn’t believe I was there, with you,

in that dreamland-of-a-place,

our fingers intertwined and our steps in sync,

I wouldn’t change a thing about that walk,

because after that is when I became your girl.
