A Dreamy Eulogy

You visit me in my sleep,
It has been three weeks since you’ve gone,
And in that brief moment where our eyes,
You smile.

You show a side of you I had not seen while you were here.
You show me happiness.
Your face did not show the infirmity that plagued you.
Only a youthful glow cast by death.

You may have left this world,
And the fleeting dreams of my unconscious,
But I know you are eternal in memory and spirit.

This poem is about:
Me
My family
