Drenched
I stand alone in the downpour—
Alone? No! The very air is quivering
With a thousand hands clapping in
A scarcely audible ovation of praise.
Drops stroke my skin sending tingling
Chills across my soul. My every inch
Sensationally alive with anticipation
Of their touch.
The racing rivulet of me set free despite
The clings of my sopping jeans. The
Smell of living freshness floods
Into my lungs. Blinding motion like
Melted diamonds enlivens all seen through.
Soaked to the bone? Yes, in ecstasy!
