To Drew

A couple of summers ago,

was when I met you.

Even though I let you go,

I will always love you.

It was not,

your average fling.

It was real,

it meant something.

When I think about you,

I start to cry.

Just being apart,

makes me want to die.

The notes we wrote,

the little things we share.

They mean the most,

because I know you care.

I know you better,

than you know yourself.

I know what you want,

you don't want someone else.

I cry every night,

knowing you are not by my side.

I cry every night,

my tears burn with passion.

I shout out loud,

I scream words with emotion.

I know you will love me,

from now until the day I die,

because I know what we had,

we didn't even have to try.

I know you'll come back soon,

& I'll be waiting for you.
