Dried Up In Sorrow

Dried Up In Sorrow

(To a so call person I call my father from your daughter with a shattered heart).

There is pain that cannot be fixed by Band-Aids and poetry.

To a so call person I call my father.

That one who left me,my brother, and dying sister.

For all the lies and deceit, for all your selfish gain.

Why did you leave me?

Did I deserve that?

You said that you will always love me and that I was your little princess,

that was all lies.

That you said I will be there for your birthdays and on holidays,

but that-that was all lies.

That you will always be there for me when I need you the most,

nothing but more lies.

Everything that I looked for to tell you-you were never there

When I spent those lonely nights in my closet waiting on the pain afflicted upon my mother

to end you were never there,

When I spent days crying and begging for someone to understand my pain,

I turn to you, but you were never there.

When I needed someone to comfront me and to not judge me when I made that mistake,

you were not there, but instead you stood there and looked at me with such disgust.

You took my heart and stomped on it, a part of me has died

For 18 years you never uttered a word, so I write,

I stand here with a shattered heart waiting for those healing words,

I'M SORRY
