Drifting

Drifting, drifting Slowly evaporating into thin air. No care in the world could make Me feel despair. My mind is at ease, I’m competent to do as I please. The need and desire to Be all that I can Be. A single moment in time, Oh how I wish I could be in This state of mind, Forever. Repetition, I so desperately abhor, A constant reminder that not everything You can adore but yet you must Do. As I’m drifting, Gradually in my abbess of peace, I’m bombarded with questions, Feeing answers I don’t quite Comprehend. In the end, I’m my own best friend As I drift away, far Into the abbess of Loneliness. By: Stanielle Collins
