Drinking and Driving

Drinking and driving, sounds like a joke Who would risk their life for a so called joy ride? Someone only thinking of their pride. On a dark and rainy night, Why did you choose not to do what was right? Drinking and driving is extremely dangerous Yet many people do not realize it. Nothing is bigger than a teenage ego And apparently a major ego booster is drunk driving Every weekend one in ten drivers are driving drunk. You start to drink, and you start to talk, before you know it you can barely walk. Got into the driver's seat Not even thinking. Nothing wrong With a little harmless drinking. Engines starting, Speeding like a bullet, Going 95 in a 55 zone, the road they're on, to death it's leading the breaking of glass, the screeching tires the crashing cars, the flames of fire When people are partying and drinking They are having fun but never thinking And because of that you changed many other’s lives Not just your own Drinking occasionally can be a pleasure Can bring fun without measure If you do it often it can do much harm Keeping it up can lead to confusion or worse After drinking you do decide to drive Danger is always present You might not survive It will too often result in something sad To drink and to drive I don't understand why you would put somebody else's life in your hands It's not enough that you shouldn't be behind the wheel But you think drinking and driving is a good deal Our actions have a consequence This can turn out to be bad Driving with just even one drink in you Is just completely mad Families will be left with grief Because you choose to drive while you drink You cause them great despair Millions do it every day without a second thought I'm sure you know it's a big risk to take Never mix drinking and driving, and you're sure to be fine Because all of this will happen to many alive If friends let friends drink and drive
