Breathe

The salty tang of a place forgotten

The sounds of ten thousand children

Eyes

Cones and rods and colors

Move in and move out

Plunging deeper within

The sparrow that dives behind the sun today will learn to love tomorrow

But time

Dripping fast

It will fall
