Drive the Class

My intrinsic drive pushes me to run,

But how can I without the direction?

The hills and the bumps make the road fun.

You, teachers, forget this simple fact.

Where is your true satisfaction?

However, I will use some tact.

Please, speed up the academic course!

If we still have control and traction,

Then the race will be lost in remorse.

Let’s move and pick up our feet;

Teach us to meet the standards of perfection,

Even when class is bittersweet.

We know teachers and students are similar.

Both are prone to distraction,

And sometimes work appears to be vinegar.

We can accomplish goals that need to be done,

If you listen to my objection.

I don’t care if my homework weighs a ton!
