Drivel

Sleeping on a bench in the rain

Like wet paint under pouring pain.

A vibrant idea diluted again

Grey chasing hope down the drain.

Ashen rivers of tears shed in disdain

To say what I feel when I feel insane,

Dissolving reason as I try to explain,

Lost in the deluge that is my brain.

My thought itself is its own bane,

Abandon awareness and feel the grain

To gain is to lose and to lose is to gain.
