Driven
I’m scared,
I don’t know what to do.
I need to unleash my creativity,
Need to write just about daily.
I yearn to create,
To no longer obstinate,
To just be free,
Writing and creating and just being me.
There is a part inside of me I need to let out,
Need to break free,
Need to let scream and shout.
But, I am afraid.
Afraid of what others might think,
Afraid I won’t be able to control,
Afraid I won’t be able to accept my own self,
Simply letting go.
Being confident and loud through my deep, dark desiring.
I feel I need to do this,
Until then, there is no other way,
But I am afraid, and scared, and lost
In the unknown, and the idea thereof,
Of how all will perceive me when I let loose and let myself rise above
Where I have been hiding my entire life,
What I have been hiding deep down inside.
I’m not sure how to go about this,
There are no step-by-step ways,
I can’t figure it out,
There is no logical path to take,
I fear I feel it must come naturally,
Stepping out of my comfort zone and just being free.
This is why I’m scared, afraid, procrastinating,
Because, I so rarely let the world see
This driven side of me.
