Driven by Instinct

Driven by Instinct

Hiding behind a blank pallet, an illusion peers foremost

As the face, to perceptions, of those who it attracts.

Colors we want to be, without fault none shall see

and what is known as,  upstanding and glee.

Reds and blues, oh such beauty and feels calm and loving

but it is yellow at best, within the light next to the pure white.

It's not red, blue, white or yellow that empresses, for value

Nor the spirit or heart which simply yerns to be heard

It is green, of greed of what due tells, it is envy of top bidding

Not by beauty,  the color, meaning, feeling or canvas

merely the monies changes veiw points of a striving artist

But the message, time, and the drive to share what is true

Is priceless,  and even the artist becomes convinced that

A once figurative honor, an emblem of victory

the laurel crown is long past and no longer found

the message lays beneath and silence of sound

Importance driven by instinct in truth.
