Driveway Sessions
With head on chest
A heart opened
Where no skyline
Could divide love.
Sit and talk as only
Voices mattered til
Sun brought light
To our quite corner.
But with each dawn
Time captured
Held ransom to a realm
Where fantasy reigned.
And inclined promise
Our love distant
Bound by
Night’s nocturnal restraints.
So here we pause
Now three years later
Barren with scars
Of feelings torn.
Searching
For truth in a driveway long lost.
